KICKSTARTER PROJECT A SUCCESS!
Caravan would like to give huge thanks to the 31 folks who supported us on our Kickstarter project. Sneaking over our goal of $2,000 with only 40 minutes left in our 30-day timeline, we were able to raise $2,326 for our new DVD project! Very soon our new "Live At Sinnissippi Park" DVD will go to production. If it had not been for the generous donations of these great friends and fans our DVD would not be happening. In the coming weeks we will be printing those exclusive t-shirts, assembling, and shipping thank-you packages to our Kickstarter supporters. Thanks again

CARAVAN GETS SOCIAL
Don’t let the fact that Caravan plays vintage music fool you. We are hip to modern social media. You can find us on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and even My Space (still…). Check our links (website menu) to interact and get closer to the band. We do want to draw attention specifically to YouTube. More and more videos will be added over the next month. We have a large archive of different concerts that have yet to be added as well songs from our records to be posted. Check it out, and subscribe!
"AN EVENING AT THE BRINK LOUNGE" CD
Our newest CD, An Evening at the Brink Lounge, has been a big success and continues to sell well. It's never too late to think about the approaching holiday season and Caravan CDs make great stocking stuffers. We have several gigs before the end of the year, but the easiest way to get a CD is to make an online order. NEW RELEASES ON THE WAY
NEW CONCERT DVD: "LIVE AT SINNISSIPPI PARK"
On July 10, 2010, Caravan performed on an amazing band shell in Sinnissippi Park in Rockford, Illinois. We were joined by Randal Harrison (violin) and Jim Huwe (drums and percussion) for the show. It was a beautiful night, and it led to an inspired concert.
Working with Snapshot Music and Charlotte’s Web for the Performing Arts we were able to successfully make a high-quality, multi-camera video recording of the show. Currently the project is in post production with the final video edits being made, and the artwork being created. We can’t wait to share it!
The concert will be released on DVD soon.
NEW STUDIO CD: "UNTITLED"
We also have a new studio CD recorded. It is about to go into the mixing stages. We are very proud of the record and feel that it represents our best work to date. It will contain a broad range of repertoire. There will of course be a bit of Django in the mix (Anouman, Swing 39), some great
American jazz standards (After You’ve Gone, Love For Sale, I Can’t Give You Anything But Love), some Latin (Brazil, Besame Mucho), and many surprises. We made full use of the arsenal of guitars at our disposal so you will hear some electric sounds and some nylon-string guitar playing. The trio was joined by some great players. The record will feature Greg Smith (clarinet), Chris Wagoner (violin),
and Jim Huwe (drums and percussion), and we will be sure to keep you up to date on its progress. Check www.gypsyswing.com often for updates.
HSS1 "CARAVAN GYPSY SWING ENSEMBLE" RE-PRESSED: NOW AVAILABLE
In addition to the new releases our first official studio CD, Caravan Gypsy Swing Ensemble, has been re-pressed. Thanks to all of you who already have the CD. The new pressing includes a Caravan sticker as well as a copy of the album in a downloadable, digital format. You can buy a copy at a Caravan performance.
